Our appeal is still open - please help people facing homelessness this winter.
East Sussex County Council need to make savings of £55 million in the next financial year and our East Sussex Floating Support Service is facing a significant proposed funding reduction from October 2025.
The final decision on funding will be made by elected members in February 2025. Up until 10 February 2024, if you are a resident of East Sussex, you can make your voice heard by signing our petition to protect this essential service.

BHT Sussex is a housing association and a homeless charity. We provide essential services across Brighton & Hove, Eastbourne and Hastings, as well as elsewhere in Sussex. We see it as our role to both challenge the causes of homelessness, poverty and marginalisation and to deal with the consequences.

BHT Sussex’s Immigration Legal Service has helped hundreds of refugees and asylum seekers with legal support. Many of those we work with are ‘unaccompanied minors’; young people and children who have often endured unimaginable suffering, and who have no adults to look after their welfare when they arrive in the UK.
